We love what we do!
Oriole is owned and run by Abbi & Danny, who took over Oriole Café in March 2023. With years of experience in Hospitality between them, they jumped at the chance to take over the Cafe at the Spitfire Cricket ground, and saw it as the perfect venue to offer great coffee & excellent food, all within a welcoming, community based space.
“We’re really pleased with the wonderful space that Oriole has become, with fantastic regular (and new!) customers, and great staff who go the extra mile. The cricket matches during the summer are always exciting to be a part of , and we love our regular community groups such as the parent group who meet here weekly.
We’re proud to have a wonderful team that we value and nourish, and hope that as a result, we bring you a team who love to come to work and serve you great food and drinks. “

Coffee
Our house coffee is roasted in Margate, by the fantastic team at Curve Coffee Roasters. Curve roast and produce exceptional coffees from inspiring producers.
Their careful sourcing is seasonally-led to maximise positive impact in coffee-growing communities.
Food
With a focus on fresh ingredients and a seasonally changing menu, all our dishes are freshly handmade in our kitchen daily. From classic brunch dishes such as avocado toast and eggs benedict, to warming soups and our delicious homemade quiche, we have something for everyone.
We are able to accommodate most dietary requirements, please just make staff aware when ordering.
Our local suppliers include Gilda Bakery in Bishopsbourne, Docker Bakery in Folkestone, Woodlands Farm Eggs in Chartham, and TJ Wholesale fruit & vegetable suppliers in Canterbury.
Community
We are pleased to be able to offer a safe & inclusive environment for community groups to meet. If you are looking for a space for your group, or perhaps looking to start a new meet up, feel free to get in touch with us.
Our Commitment
Oriole has been founded on strong values. We are working hard to source as much as possible from suppliers on our doorstep, supporting our local communities and reducing long-distance transport of the things we buy.
